Season 3 and 2014

Hi Fans and wanted to give you what to look forward to in season 3 and 2014. I have a lot of things on my plate. I have my podcast with a 8 episode season and working with promotion for a local sci-fi convention (www.astronomicon.info).

I promise there is an Episode 8

I do have an episode 8 that is coming to end the season and get ready for season 3. I just need to get to the hacker space to upload it.

Sorry about the Hiatus

I haven’t been updating the information here like I should, but I have been taking a break from the podcast to make a robot and help out for a local scifi convention. The robot’s name is R.U.D.I which stands for Rudimentary Utility Droid Intelligence. I will keep you posted on the progress of it and make it a podcast episode.

Low hanging fruit

Season 2 looks like it is harder then I thought it was.  Hard part is coming up with original topics to create an episode around.  Well there is a lot of episodes I can but finding the time to travel to them would be difficult.  Also the money.  Hopefully I can get more fresh content for Season 3. I wish someone could support me financially, so I can go do my podcast as a full time job.

Season 2 update

I haven’t posted anything in awhile. I do have 2 episodes coming up in July. I am not going to tell you what they are about. I want to keep that a surprise. Also I want to know who my fans are, so make a comment saying where you’re from and what you like about the podcast.

Rocket Launch is a failure on the pad

I was going to do an episode with the Monroe Area Rocket Society (www.marsclub.org) at one of their launches.  The mic had a low battery and I couldn’t here who I was interviewing.  Will try again in July for there big event with a better mic and hope to have a better cast.  Hopefully I will have future episodes up and will not for get my fans.  Look for more episodes in the future.

New Promo

Finally got around to updating my promo with the http://www.radicalgeek.me address.  Click Here to Listen

Radical Geek on the Sound of Tomorrow

April 13 I teamed up with my friends from the Sound of Tomorrow (www.soundoftomorrow.com). I videoed them for a future episode of the Radical Geek. I was a guest on their podcast. Talked about the Rochester, NY geek scene and my podcast. I had a lot of fun, and can’t wait for it to go up.

Planning

This is some of the notes I have for topics planning for season 2.

iTunes, Blubrry, and Blip.TV

I feel I need to get my podcast on iTunes. Only problem is iTunes is that it doesn’t run on linux. I have to figure it out in getting on under wine. I tried that and it didn’t work, and now I am looking at other ways to get them posted. A few suggestion from a podcasters group on Facebook lead me to blubrry.com. I switched to YouTube and there isn’t any download link and to get a premium listing I need to get download links for video. I could do that with Blip.TV. Blip also has a way to summit to iTunes. Will be going back to that. Also I will need to change the format to QuickTime(mov).
