Grab my stick and hit the ice.
My skates are sharp and it feels nice.
Passed the blue line and grabbed the puck.
Toward the goal with some luck.
Deke the goalie because he’s a rookie.
And flick the puck where mama hides the cookies.
For the kids on the streets to the stars on the ice.
Hockey is the game that I like.
Howe, Orr, and Gretsky make the game great.
It all started when I saw my first game when I was eight.
To all the hot shots that rush the net.
Today is the day your match has been met.
I love it when you scorers try to get close.
Because I am the guy that makes your shots a joke.
I will use my body to be a wall
So the goal light won’t answer your call.
I make opposing teams’ stars look like guacamole.
Because I am the guy they call the goalie.
For the kids in the streets to the stars on the ice.
Hockey is the game that I like.
Hasek, Roy, and Plante made the game great.
Me loving this game was a matter of fate.
I am the guy that makes the stars shine.
Because I protect him when it’s game time.
Check him into the boards hard.
And I am the one that will make you see stars.
Drop the gloves and fist fly like lightning.
Then the linesmen gave me five minutes for fighting.
In the box, hanging my head in shame.
But I’m the goon so I get all the blame.
For the kids on the streets to the stars on the ice.
Hockey is the game that I like.
Probert, Ray, and McSorley made the game great.
So head to your local arena before it’s too late.
This was my attempt to make a rap song about ice hockey.

SAD PUPPIES
parody of Dead Puppies by Ogden Edsl
Sad puppies, sad puppies
Sad puppies aren’t much fun
They want to say mean things
They want all the bling
Sad puppies aren’t much fun
Those puppy cried late twenty-fourteen
They keep making an awful scene
Sad puppies aren’t much fun, no, no, no
They says puppy’s days are through
They say they’re going to lose
Sad puppies aren’t much fun
Sad puppies, sad, sad, sad, sad puppies
Sad puppies aren’t much fun
Come on everybody out there, sing along, okay
Sad, sad, sad, sad puppies
Sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad puppies
Sad puppies aren’t much fun
One more time for rolling resca
Sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad puppies
Sad puppies aren’t much fun

Have more from the FuMPFest with more comedy musicians. Interview both Tony Goldmark and Insane Ian who are both auxiliary members of the Funny Music Project a.k.a. The FuMP. They talk how they got started and what inspires the music they create.

I lost the opening theme music when my external HDD crashed and found it again online to download.
The site is called Free Play Music and they changed the site so the tracks aren’t free. Which goes back to a thought I had about changing it. I do have some musician friends and maybe one of them can do a theme for me? If anyone is interested we should talk.

Welcome to the new season of the Radical Geek. In episode 1 I will talk about the type of music called chiptunes. Chiptunes is music that uses old 8-bit computers or video game systems to create the music. It sound like music for an old computer or video game. I went to a show at the Bug Jar in Rochester, NY held by Rochester Chip (www.rochesterchip.org). Showing you performances by Faking Amnesia (soundcloud.com/faking-amnesia) and bc likes you (bclikesyou.bandcamp.com) and an interview with BC Mostyn and Nick Maynard founders of Rochester Chip and chiptune performers.
